Don Stryszko is vice president of risk management for Cox Enterprises, a leading communications, media and automotive services company.
Stryszko is responsible for managing the risk of loss at Cox’s corporate and local business operations. He also oversees the company’s property and casualty insurance programs and related claims.
He began his career at Cox in 1986 as a loss control analyst and has been promoted to various roles of increasing safety and claims management responsibility. Prior to Cox, he served in the risk management department of Georgia State University and the fire prevention bureau in Charlotte, N.C.
A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, Stryszko holds a bachelor’s of science degree in fire and safety engineering technology with a minor in risk management. At Elon College, he earned a bachelor’s degree of applied science in forestry.
He is an active member of the National Safety Council, American Society of Safety Engineers, National Fire Protection Association and the Atlanta Claims Association. He maintains Certified Utility Safety Administrator (CUSA), Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Certified Hazard Control Manager (CHCM) credentials.
