In the case of publicly owned businesses, at least 51% of the stock is owned by a member or members of diverse groups.

How to Become a Supplier
Register as a supplier:
By registering, you will not have to register at each affiliate website. Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email with a log in and password to update your information any time. Registering does not automatically make your company an approved Cox supplier; this is for potential business only.
All diverse businesses seeking to participate in the Supplier Diversity Program must be certified. Cox accepts certifications from the affiliate councils of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), as well as, the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). Certification is also accepted from local and state government agencies. Certification of your business classification can be obtained by contacting the appropriate organization listed below:
