This option can be used once every three years, or once a year if you repay the previous withdrawal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\"><strong>Domestic abuse withdrawal:<\/strong>\u00a0If you or a household member has been a victim of domestic abuse within the last year, you are eligible to withdraw up to the lesser of $10,500 or 50% of your vested account balance (minimum $1,000) to cover related financial hardships.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\"><strong>Qualified Disaster Recovery Distributions (QDRDs):\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0If a federally declared disaster affects your principle residence and causes a financial loss, you can withdraw up to $22,000 to support your recovery.
