Cox Enterprises Promotes Daniel Abbey to Director of Network Engineering
Cox Enterprises today announced that Daniel Abbey has been promoted to director of network engineering, effective immediately. He reports to John Bell, assistant vice president of information systems engineering.
“It’s vital that our employees have access to data, and Daniel does a great job managing a vast system of devices and technology,” said Bell. “Daniel ensures that our employees can connect with the information needed to perform their daily job, as well as have the ability to quickly communicate with colleagues and customers.”
Abbey manages network and security engineering for Cox Enterprises’ corporate campus and data centers, as well as various locations for the company’s media division. He is responsible for the data and security network’s strategic planning, engineering, operations and daily support.
Prior to joining Cox in 2011, Abbey held positions with Accenture, Deltacom, Norfolk Southern and UNICEF.
Abbey earned a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications management from DeVry College and a master’s degree in business administration from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Kings Ministry and volunteers at Victory World Church.
