Cox Enterprises Promotes Madalena Soares to Director of Vendor Management


Cox Enterprises today announced that Madalena Soares has been promoted to director of vendor management, effective immediately. She reports to Jeff Osborne, senior director of enterprise procurement.

“As an $18 billion company, Cox Enterprises works with a vast array of vendors,” said Osborne. “Madalena does a great job building and maintaining relationships with our suppliers. The programs she manages ensure our partners align with Cox’s commitment to diversity and sustainability.”

Soares is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for Cox’s vendor management programs, including supplier diversity and supplier sustainability. She serves as the point of contact for interaction with all stakeholders and vendors to advance these initiatives and deliver cost reductions. She is also responsible for establishing metrics for outreach, sourcing, contract administration, diverse spend, total spend, sustainability and other performance criteria.

Prior to joining Cox in 2012, she held procurement and financial-related roles at Delta Air Lines, AT&T and Accenture.

Soares received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Boston University and a master’s degree in international business from Georgia State University. She spent her childhood in Brazil and is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.
