The James M. Cox Foundation Announces $250,000 Grant to Bobby Dodd Institute
Grant supports organization's mission of empowerment and economic sufficiency
ATLANTA, June 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The James M. Cox Foundation announced a $250,000 grant to the Bobby Dodd Institute (BDI). The grant will help further BDI's mission to empower people with disabilities and disadvantages to maximize their potential by securing economic self-sufficiency, independence and integration into society.
BDI connects individuals and employers through its high-quality job training and employment, business services and staffing services. The organization celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, and in 2014 alone, BDI employed 286 people with disabilities and served 979 people with job training, employment and other opportunities. BDI offers employment opportunities in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.

The James M. Cox Foundation is named in honor of Cox Enterprises' founder and provides funding for capital campaigns and special projects in communities where Cox Enterprises, Cox Communications, Cox Automotive and Cox Media Group operate.
