Keep Golden Isles Beautiful mobilizes the community to protect Georgia’s salt marshes from trash and pollution. Each year, the organization leads a month-long cleanup effort spanning 57 sites, alongside ongoing programs in litter prevention, recycling, and water resource awareness.
Since 2015, Keep Golden Isles Beautiful has removed 77 tons of trash from the salt marsh, including 724 tires. What began as a single cleanup effort has grown into a 57-site annual initiative, demonstrating the community’s ongoing commitment to protecting this vital ecosystem for years to come.
