Erin McCandless

Erin McCandless is responsible for legal support of Cox Automotive product regulation, international matters and all businesses, including inventory solutions, retail solutions, mobility solutions and NextGear Capital.

McCandless joined the Cox family of businesses in 2015 when Cox Automotive acquired Dealertrack Technologies, a company she had been with since 2007. She served as vice president and deputy general counsel at Cox Automotive and then vice president of commercial operations at Cox Enterprises.

Prior to joining Cox, McCandless held in-house roles in the consumer and business data industries. Before that, she spent seven years in law firms, first in civil litigation and criminal defense, then in commercial transactions.

McCandless earned her bachelor’s and law degrees from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and holds a master’s in business from the University of Nebraska.

She serves as advisory board chair of the Atlanta chapter of The Posse Foundation and also serves on their national board. She is a graduate of Inspire Atlanta, a community impact program supporting the Atlanta Women’s Foundation.
