Through our support of programs like the Cleantech Accelerator, Engage Ventures and many others, Cox is fostering Atlanta’s emergence as a global tech hub.
Cox Cleantech Accelerator
The Cox Cleantech Accelerator invests $250,000 in innovative and high-growth startups leading the charge in sustainability and climate tech solutions.
This program provides support, expertise and connections to grow cleantech companies into high-value companies with scalable infrastructure that will make a positive impact on the world we leave to the next generation. It is open to any startup focused on solving, mitigating or adapting to climate and environmental crises and engages with founders who reflect the diverse communities impacted by climate change.
Engage
Cox Enterprises, Georgia Tech and the Atlanta Committee for Progress were responsible for bringing 10 forward-thinking companies together to establish the mentorship-driven accelerator program for innovative technology startups called Engage Ventures.
Cox and Engage corporate partners to date have committed $105 million, 116 investments and over 190 contracts with startups. Engage startups employ over 4,000 people nationwide, have raised $3.1 billion following the program with 56% of companies headquartered in the southeast.

We are empowering future generations of entrepreneurs, strengthening our economy and boosting the city of Atlanta’s reputation as a tech hub by investing in growth platforms like Endeavor and Startup Runway, which are bringing jobs and millions of dollars’ worth of investments to the city.
Startup Runway
Cox is the presenting sponsor and founding member for the Startup Runway Foundation. Its mission is to connect top women- and minority-led startups with seed capital. It is the largest pitch event for women- and minority-led startups in the country and provides a cash grant to winners. It has supported more than 400 investor introductions, provided coaching for 1,000 startups in their path to seed capital and raised over $18 million for finalists.
AI Accelerator (CX2)
Cox Exponential is the AI accelerator and early-stage venture entity from Cox Enterprises. Created by AI founders for AI founders, it is a team of technologists trained to spot great ideas and build exponential value for startups and businesses.
