Cody Partin

President, Cox Family Office

Cody Partin is president of the Cox Family Office. In this role, he oversees governance, estate planning and family services, and helps guide family investments.  

Partin joined Cox in 2009 and has served in many roles across the company. Most recently, he served as senior vice president, Enterprise Security and Corporate Services. Partin oversaw the company’s real estate strategy and transactions, physical security and investigations, business continuity and crisis management, and Cox’s aviation operations. Partin was also responsible for the operations and maintenance of Cox’s corporate facilities and their associated food service and fitness centers.    

Prior to that role, Partin was senior vice president of Total Rewards and People Operations and oversaw the company’s employee benefits, executive compensation, talent management, inclusion and diversity, and human resources technology services. Under his purview, Cox implemented new programs and benefits that contributed to the company being consistently recognized as an employer of choice. In addition, he was also president of the Cox Employee Relief Fund.  

Partin’s first position at Cox led to his role as vice president, Real Estate and Corporate Services, where he played an instrumental role in developing the corporate campus in Atlanta. Prior to Cox, Partin was an associate at Dow Lohnes PLLC.  

He currently serves on the board of trustees for Oglethorpe University and as a trustee of the Atlanta Botanical Garden, where he is vice chair of the executive committee. He also serves on the board of directors for the Atlanta Beltline Partnership and the Evans Group. Previously, he was chair of the Fulton Perimeter Community Improvement District and served on the boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, the Perimeter Business Alliance, the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce, and TPG RE Finance Trust, Inc. Partin is a graduate of the Leadership Atlanta Class of 2021 and actively supports CURE Childhood Cancer.

Partin earned a bachelor’s degree in politics from Oglethorpe University, a law degree from Harvard Law School and a master’s degree in business administration from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.
