Perley McBride

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial and Administrative Officer

Perley McBride is executive vice president and chief financial and administrative officer for Cox Enterprises, a global, family-owned company that owns, operates and invests in businesses spanning automotive, greenhouse agriculture, software, cleantech, outdoor recreation and journalism. 

McBride is responsible for the company’s financial and administrative organizations, including treasury, tax, audit, accounting, financial reporting, planning and analysis. He also oversees corporate sustainability, information technology, risk management, aviation, real estate, facilities and security. 

Prior to joining Cox Enterprises in 2026, McBride was executive vice president and chief financial officer for Cox Communications, overseeing finance and accounting, business operations, strategic sourcing and supply chain, content acquisition and programming, Cox Media, and the integration management office. 

With more than 30 years of experience in the communications industry, McBride has worked in telecom, wireless, media, and cable with both domestic and multinational companies. 

He has a proven track record of helping companies grow in competitive markets. He excels in developing finance functions, acquiring new businesses, improving operations and costs, integrating systems and processes, transitioning organizations, and gaining consensus among diverse groups. 

Prior to joining Cox Communications in 2018, McBride was the CFO of Frontier Communications. He also held CFO roles at Cable & Wireless PLC, Cricket Communications, Leap Wireless and was part of the executive teams that led their sales to Liberty Global PLC and AT&T, respectively. McBride also served as the executive vice president of finance for The Weather Channel, overseeing all finance functions and the financial performance of all entities associated with The Weather Company. 

McBride is a member of the board for Amplify, a pioneer in K-12 education that delivers next-generation curriculum and assessment on an intuitive platform.  

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Mount Allison University and a master’s in business administration from the University of Houston. He and his wife reside in Atlanta, and they are the parents of three daughters.
