Axios named winner of Adweek’s Hottest in News Award
03/12/2024
Axios, a media company majority-owned by Cox Enterprises, received the Hottest in News award on Adweek’s Hot List, recognizing its dedication to delivering vital, trustworthy news and analysis. The annual list honors 2024’s buzziest people, platforms and companies in news and media.
Adweek’s editors choose the winners as a way of celebrating media companies who continue to innovate to transform the industry.
“Axios stands out because of our commitment to expert, unbiased and trustworthy reporting,” said Axios editor-in-chief Sara Kehaulani Goo. “We’re proud of everything Axios accomplished last year and look forward to everything that is to come in 2024.”
Cox Enterprises acquired majority ownership of Axios in 2022 and today it has 3.3 million unique subscribers across 48 free newsletters, 30 of which are in local markets. It has more than 230 people supporting its newsroom to ensure its team of journalists deliver the day's important news and information in a timely and efficient manner.
Earlier this year, Axios launched Axios Entertainment, a new division dedicated to developing and producing original nonfiction programming. Axios Entertainment’s debut series, “The Money Game,” will premiere on Prime Video later this year.
