Keep America Beautiful® Appoints Cox Enterprises Sustainability Leader Amit Vyas to its Board of Directors

STAMFORD, CT, June 17, 2025 – Keep America Beautiful®, the nation’s leading community improvement nonprofit organization, today announced the appointment of Amit Vyas, vice president of sustainability at Cox Enterprises, to its national Board of Directors. 

In his role at Cox, Vyas leads the company’s environmental sustainability strategy through Cox Conserves, an enterprise-wide initiative aimed at driving positive environmental impact while supporting long-term business goals. Under his leadership, Cox is setting new benchmarks in corporate sustainability in its journey to become a more sustainable company through innovative operations, corporate partnerships and investments in infrastructure. In 2024, Cox was the first U.S.-based, enterprise-wide service company recognized by Zero Waste USA as a Zero Waste Business, achieving a 92% diversion rate verified by GreenCircle Certified

In 2024, Cox received Keep America Beautiful’s Power of Beauty Award for Corporate Volunteerism in recognition of its deep commitment to community engagement and hands-on environmental stewardship. 

“Amit brings deep expertise in sustainability and a clear passion for driving environmental progress,” said Jennifer Lawson, president and CEO of Keep America Beautiful. “His insight and leadership will be invaluable as we work to build cleaner, greener and more connected communities across the country.”

Vyas has more than a decade of experience with Cox Enterprises, previously serving as vice president of Team Member Experience for Cox’s IT organization and as senior director of Advisory and Assurance. Prior to joining Cox, he held leadership roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds a master’s degree in Decision and Information Sciences from the University of Florida. 

In addition to his professional achievements, Vyas is committed to education and community service, currently serving on the board of the Sandy Springs Education Force. He lives in Milton, Georgia, with his wife and two sons.
