Cox Honored for Workplace Flexibility Initiative

11/03/2021

Cox-HonoredCox is made up of many teams working toward one Purpose. And if there’s anything we’ve learned in the past year and a half, it’s that HOW we work together to accomplish our goals is moreless important than WHERE we do it. That’s why we’re extremely proud and honored to say we’ve received a 2021 Flex Impact Award from the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance for empowering our teams to balance their in-person and remote work in a way that works for their unique needs and job requirements.

With our Flex Forward initiative, we implemented team agreements as a new tool leaders could use to integrate more flexibility into their operations and strike the right work/life balance. This approach helps ensure that everyone at Cox feels included and able to do great work — no matter where they're working or what challenge they're tackling.

“We selected Cox Enterprises for this award because this initiative embodies what we call ‘flexible flexibility,’” said Manar Morales, president and CEO of the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance. “By allowing teams to determine how and where they work best, Cox is acknowledging that one size does not fit all when it comes to the hybrid workplace and we all have unique needs and priorities. Cox is certainly paving the way to a more inclusive and flexible future of work.”

The Diversity & Flexibility Alliance is a think tank that collaborates with organizations to develop inclusive and flexible work policies and advance more women into leadership positions. The award was presented Nov. 3 at the organization’s virtual annual conference.

“Being honored with the Flex Impact Award is a tribute to so many at Cox who have continued to push our culture forward,” said Jill Campbell, EVP and chief people and operations officer at Cox Enterprises. “Introducing Flex Forward helps us continue to build on our inclusion efforts and support our people.”
