Patrick O’Boyle is senior vice president of corporate development at Cox Enterprises, a leading broadband, automotive services and media company with $23 billion in annual revenues and 50,000 employees worldwide. In his role, O’Boyle leads the execution of acquisitions, strategic investments, joint ventures and divestitures for Cox Enterprises, Cox Automotive and Cox Communications.

O’Boyle joined Cox in 2018 and spent the next five years leading corporate development at Cox Automotive. During that time, he and his team completed 40 deals, including an investment in Rivian and the acquisitions of Dickinson Fleet Services and Spiers New Technology. Additionally, he and his team founded the Cox Auto Integration Management Office, which instilled a new process for how Cox Automotive acquires and integrates companies into its portfolio.

Prior to his time with Cox, O’Boyle worked in the building products and telecom industries, holding leadership roles in strategy, corporate development and operations. One of his stops included Boral Industries, a leading building products and construction materials company headquartered in Australia. There, he was the head of strategy and corporate development for their North American portfolio.

O’Boyle received his bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and went on to earn his JD from Georgia State University and his MBA from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business. He lives in Atlanta with his wife, Christine, and their two twin boys.
