Cox Enterprises Promotes Amber Hall to Assistant General Counsel of Governance and Compliance

Cox Enterprises today announced that Amber Hall has been promoted to assistant general counsel of governance and compliance, effective immediately. She reports to Shauna Muhl, Cox Enterprises’ vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary.

“As a $17 billion, diversified company, Cox Enterprises operates in a variety of industries,” said Muhl. “Amber does a wonderful job working across our divisions to tailor solutions to meet their diverse needs. She develops business-focused, effective programs to manage our compliance needs.”

Hall leads Cox’s governance and corporate records team and serves as compliance officer for Cox Enterprises and Cox Media Group, the company’s media division. She also oversees corporate ethics and compliance initiatives, as well as Cox Enterprises’ records and information management program.

She joined Cox in 2011 and previously worked as an associate at Bryan Cave LLP, where she counseled financial institutions on a variety of corporate governance, transactional and regulatory matters. Prior to attending law school, she worked at two technology start-ups and began her career in the analyst program at Goldman Sachs.

Hall earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Spelman College and her juris doctorate from Vanderbilt University Law School. She is a certified compliance and ethics professional (CCEP)®.
