Cox Enterprises Promotes Brian King to Director of Corporate Accounting

Cox Enterprises today announced that Brian King has been promoted to director of corporate accounting, effective immediately. He reports to Laura Wiese, senior director of corporate accounting.

“Brian does a great job overseeing our corporate financial reporting,” said Wiese. “He creates a collaborative environment across our corporate departments and divisions to ensure our reporting is efficient, timely and aligned with our business needs.”

King oversees the company’s monthly financial reporting and results as related to monthly expenses, fixed assets, investments and benefits. He develops financial accounting policies across the corporate departments to deliver efficiency and accuracy. He also works closely with accounting leaders at Cox’s divisions and serves as the company’s primary audit contact.

Prior to joining Cox in 2001, he worked at ComputerJobs.com and Ernst & Young.

He received a bachelor’s of science degree from the College of Charleston and a master’s degree in accountancy from the University of Tennessee.
