Cox Enterprises Promotes Carol Larner to Vice President of Investments

Cox Enterprises today announced that Carol Larner has been promoted to vice president of investments, effective immediately. She will continue reporting to Maria Friedman, senior vice president of tax and treasury services.
“Cox offers a variety of benefits to help meet our employees’ health, wealth, living and career needs,” said Friedman. “Carol does a fantastic job managing our pension and 401(k) investments to support these important benefits. Through her work with the Cox Employee Relief Fund, she helps support employees during times of critical need.”
She is responsible for the investment management and oversight of Cox’s pension fund assets, as well as the company’s 401(k) investment options. She also serves as treasurer of the Cox Employee Relief Fund, which assists Cox employees impacted by natural disasters, catastrophic injury or illness, or loss of a family member. Established in 2005, the Fund has distributed more than $3 million dollars to assist more than 1,600 employees.
She joined Cox in 1996 and most recently served as assistant vice president and assistant treasurer. Previously, she worked in corporate finance and trust finance at Southern Company.
Larner is a Chartered Financial Analyst and received dual degrees in business and economics from Oglethorpe University, where she graduated with honors and previously served on its Alumni Board. She currently serves on the advisory committee for various funds managed by Battery Ventures and Regiment Capital Advisors. She is an active member of the National Charity League.
