Cox Enterprises Promotes Jami Buck-Vance to Director of Corporate Responsibility & Community Partnerships

ATLANTA (June 24, 2015) – Cox Enterprises today announced the promotion of Jami Buck-Vance to director of corporate responsibility & community partnerships, effective July 1.  She reports to Angela Leung Wasmer, senior director of corporate responsibility and public affairs.

“We are thrilled that Jami will serve in this new role,” said Wasmer.  “Her passion for environmental and community efforts shines through all her work.  Jami’s successful leadership of the creation of our 2014 corporate social responsibility report and management of NGO partnerships has been instrumental in the advancement of our corporate responsibility efforts.”

Buck-Vance is responsible for leading corporate responsibility and community outreach, including program development, stakeholder relationships, external and internal communications of company efforts and events.  She manages communications and environmental partnerships for Cox Conserves, the company’s national sustainability program.  Additionally, she oversees national diversity and corporate volunteerism partnerships, and day-to-day operations for the Cox Employee Relief Fund, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Buck-Vance joined the company in 2001 from The Home Depot where she served as a spokesperson.  She began her career at The Gove Network, a public relations agency specializing in commercial real estate.  

Buck-Vance is a graduate of the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership and a member of the 2009 Class of Leadership Atlanta. She currently serves on the boards of EarthShare of Georgia and the Partnership for Southern Equity and is a past board member of Park Pride. A member of the inaugural class of AmeriCorps, she received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Georgia.
