Cox Investments Scoring Early Wins

Several Cox Enterprises investments are logging big wins.

The Overwatch League’s Atlanta Reign recently announced a sponsorship deal with Cox Communications. The Overwatch League is a multiplayer video game played competitively for spectators, and the Atlanta Reign is one of eight expansion teams added to the league this year. The Atlanta team is a joint investment between Cox Enterprises and the financial advisory firm Province Inc.

Cox Communications branding will appear on the Reign’s jerseys. Cox is also sponsoring the amazing home where the players live and train during the season. (For a sneak peek inside, watch the video below). Autotrader, a Cox Automotive business, also sponsors the Atlanta Reign.

Ouster and Iora Health Raise Their Profiles

Ouster, a San Francisco startup which manufactures sensors for self-driving vehicles, recently announced it had raised $60 million and plans to open a new facility with much greater capacity to produce its products. In 2017, Cox Enterprises and Cox Automotive led a $27 million fundraiser for Ouster in a bid to get in on the ground floor of autonomous vehicle technology development.

Rushika Fernandopulle, the CEO of Iora Health, a company Cox invested in last year, was recognized in Business Insider as one of the Top 10 Transformers in Healthcare. Click here to read more about Rushika and how Iora Health is transforming healthcare.
