Cox Media Group (CMG) has named Pascale Head as Integrated News Director for the Jacksonville market. In her new role, Head oversees more than 50 hours of Action News Jax newscasts broadcast each week on CBS47 WJAX and FOX30 WFOX. She also will oversee news content for 104.5 WOKV, as well as CMG Jacksonville’s digital news brands, including websites, apps and social media channels.

“As we evolve and integrate Action News Jax with 104.5 WOKV, this community, news department and our mission could have no one better or more qualified to lead the charge,” said Bob Longo, General Manager for CMG Jacksonville. “Pascale is a smart, experienced and passionate leader who knows what our viewers want and how to best deliver it to them across our many platforms.”

Rich Jones will continue in his role as News Director of WOKV and host of the top-rated “Jacksonville Morning News.”

“I’ve worked with Pascale for more than five years and have been inspired by her commitment to excellence,” Jones said. “Her passion for quality journalism is contagious. I look forward to working with Pascale on all of the new opportunities that lie ahead in our integrated operation.”

Head has worked in the Jacksonville market since 1999. Previously, she served as Managing Editor of Action News Jax, leading newsroom content for WJAX and WFOX TV. Under Head’s leadership, Action News Jax has experienced unprecedented growth across all dayparts, with the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts ranking No. 1. Action News Jax also serves as a trusted local media source, with a dominating presence on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. WOKV is consistently one of the top local radio stations, and “Jacksonville’s Morning News” ranks as No. 1 in the market.

“I’m so excited to continue to serve the community I have always called home,” said Head, a graduate of the University of North Florida. “It’s such an important time, as we look to build on the successes of Action News Jax and WOKV together. I believe the power of these two great brands combined will make an even bigger impact on Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia as we move forward.”
