Luis Avila-Estrada, vice president of the Compliance and Governance team at Cox Enterprises, was recently honored by the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) and named Latino Attorney of the Year.
This prestigious award was presented to Avila-Estrada during the HNBA annual conference and convention, held virtually this year.
HNBA National President Irene Oria recognized Avila-Estrada for his achievements both personally and professionally.
“It is not only his remarkable professional success that makes him worthy of recognition, but also his continued commitment to the HNBA and to advancing Hispanics in the legal profession,” Oria said. “Through his service to the HNBA and to our community this year and for so many years before that, Luis embodies the mission of the HNBA.”
The HBNA is a national membership association that represents the interests of Hispanic judges, law professors, legal assistants, law students and legal professionals. It awards one woman and one man the attorney of the year award each year. Honorees are selected based on professional achievements as well as a commitment to service.
“The Hispanic National Bar Association is a wonderful organization, and its Vision in Action Fund does so much to empower the Hispanic community,” said Avila-Estrada. “I'm honored to be recognized by such an amazing group.”
