Startup Runway Announces Latest Winners

10/11/2019

One is ReSuture, a New Orleans-based company that makes 3-D printed models of human tissue for doctors to practice surgery. The other is Mini City, an Atlanta-based company that uses technology to help homeless people obtain important documents.

Both startups tied for the win in Startup Runway’s Fall Showcase, held Oct. 9 at the Gathering Spot in Northwest Atlanta. The winners each received $10,000 to help launch their businesses.

The mission of Startup Runway is to introduce top under-represented founders to their first professional investor. Underrepresented founders lead 40% of all startups, yet receive less than 5% of venture capital.

Cox Enterprises supports the startup ecosystem in Atlanta to help boost the city’s reputation as a hub for technological innovation and to further our mission to Empower People Today to Build a Better Future for the Next Generation.
