Diversity List: CCI Climbs the Chart

Cox Communications recently ranked 13th on DiversityInc’s Top 50 Companies for Diversity list — a remarkable achievement that showcases our commitment to diversity and inclusion here at Cox. The ranking also represented a substantial leap from where CCI was slated for the last two years, at No. 18.

“We are committed to having a diverse workforce, which enables us to compete and grow,” said CCI President Pat Esser, who also chairs the National Diversity Council. “Our employees know that we embrace and foster an environment that builds on the unique talents that come from a variety of people and perspectives.”

The tremendous work of CCI employees at every level resulted in several other outstanding placements from DiversityInc:

• Fourth in the top 15 companies for Supplier Diversity.
• Seventh in the top 20 companies for Diversity Councils.
• Thirteenth in the top 14 companies for Mentoring.

Respecting Differences

CCI isn’t resting on its laurels. The division — and all of Cox — continues to seek improvements that will make the company the absolute best in diversity and inclusion, said LeVoyd Carter, executive director of Diversity & Inclusion at CCI.

“Cox Communications is among many companies that finds itself in a war to recruit, hire and retain top talent,” Carter added. “To be successful in this effort and improve our company culture, we must collectively encourage employees to bring their whole self to work.
