Recognized for Our War on Waste

The key word in leader is “lead,” and that’s exactly what Cox does. Need an example? How about the recent honor our Cox Conserves Waste and Recycling program received when we won Georgia Recycling Coalition’s Outstanding Corporate Leader Award. waste-team-image-2.jpg

This award recognizes all our Zero Waste to Landfill initiatives and programs from 2013 to present, as well as Cox’s commitment to positive environmental change — both inside the company and for the communities we serve.

“I’m so proud of our team and all the hard work they’ve done,” said Meredith Lindvall, manager waste & recycling diversion. “We’re getting closer and closer to meeting our 2024 goal of Zero Waste to Landfill, and this award shines a light on many of our efforts.”

But Wait, There’s More!
In addition to winning the corporate leader award, the Cox Conserves Waste and Recycling program was also one of three recent finalists for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Corporate Citizens Award for Best Environmental Stewardship.

Do the Right Thing. Always.
Both recognitions stem from the positive actions Cox is taking to build a better future for the next generation. Since 2007, Cox has diverted 130,000 tons of waste from the landfill and hopes to continue setting a precedent for industry professionals to create a healthier environment for all.
