CCI West Primary Distribution Center achieves Zero Waste to Landfill Certification.

What if you could help save the planet and save money in the process?

That’s exactly what the West Primary Distribution Center for Cox Communications in Phoenix, Ariz., has accomplished. The facility achieved Zero Waste to Landfill certification from a third party in July — becoming the first CCI-managed location to reach that milestone.

The center serves as a regional hub in the supply chain, serving the Arizona, Nevada and California regions. Employees there receive and distribute all customer equipment like modems, routers, set-top boxes, technology and materials.

The result of attaining Zero Waste to Landfill status has been an operating cost reduction from $22,000 a month in the fall of 2015 to only $1,200 a month this spring, due to optimized hauling and recycling rebates.

Congratulations to everyone at the distribution center for helping Cox go green, and moving us closer toward our enterprisewide goal of sending Zero Waste to Landfill by 2024!
